General Information:
It is a central foreign language exam conducted by OSYM and stands for Foreign Language Proficiency Exam.
YDS is carried out on paper. e-YDS, on the other hand, is carried out on the computer through the software developed by ÖSYM.
While YDS is held 2 times a year as Spring and Autumn semesters, e-YDS is held almost every month of the year.
With the inclusion of the previously applied UDS and KPDS exams in this exam, it is a language exam that is valid in universities and private sectors, especially in public institutions and organizations.
YDS score, especially master's, undergraduate and associate professorship exams; While calculating the language score in the KPSS A group teaching exam, while studying at foreign universities and obtaining equivalence in Turkey; It is used in the civil service when receiving language compensation.
YDS is used to determine the foreign language knowledge levels of public personnel who want to receive foreign language compensation and people who want to be placed in public institutions.

Placement Exam:
Before the YDS course, which is held twice a year, candidates who are at the B1 level in the placement test can register for the course.
Those who get at least 45 points or more from the last YDS exam can attend the course without taking the placement test with a copy of the YDS result document.
