Feedback

These are the evaluations made to improve the learning processes of the trainees.

Explicit and implicit written corrective feedback practices help to increase the language skills of trainees.

Factors such as how feedback is given and its impact on trainees play an important role in language learning.

Language in Vision English Our feedback methods used in English language education at Liv English:

  1. Open Feedback: Trainees are shown directly and clearly what their mistakes are. This type of feedback can be done in specific areas such as grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary.
  2. Implicit Feedback: Instead of directly pointing out mistakes, it is aimed to draw the trainee's attention to their mistakes in a more indirect way. For example, the teacher can get the student's attention by repeating a sentence correctly.
  3. Automatic Feedback: Feedback that is provided automatically using language learning apps or software. This ensures that trainees can correct errors on the fly.
  4. Academic Feedback: These are the evaluations made in written studies. It indicates the strengths and weaknesses of the trainees in their written assignments, essays, or reports.
  5. Sensory Feedback: Trainees are allowed to assess themselves sensorially. For example, in group activities in a language class, trainees can get feedback by observing the performance of others.
  6. Self-Feedback: These are the methods offered for trainees to evaluate their own learning processes. Trainees can gain more insight by evaluating their own mistakes and successes.

Each method has its advantages and disadvantages, and therefore our teachers use a combination of different approaches.

The effects of feedback on the success of the trainee at Liv English:

  1. Depth of Comprehension: Feedback helps trainees develop a better understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
  2. Motivation: Positive feedback boosts trainees' confidence and encourages them to put in more effort, while constructive criticism helps them identify areas for improvement.
  3. Error Correction: Trainees realize the mistakes they make thanks to feedback and improve by learning from these mistakes.
  4. Self-Assessment: Feedback allows trainees to evaluate their own learning processes and set goals.
  5. Learning Strategies: Trainees develop more effective learning methods by understanding which learning strategies are effective with feedback.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Continuous feedback allows trainees to continuously improve their long-term learning and language skills.

Since feedback is a dynamic part of the teaching process, it is also important for creating an effective learning environment.
